Restaurant
We love exploring the food scene in Austin and thereby doing our duty to keep the local economy booming. Put a meal at one of these spots on your itinerary!
Dai Due
Pronounced “Dye Du-ey”, this restaurant makes upscale food approachable. It’s been our go to restaurant for birthdays - mainly to get their amazing tomahawk pork chop. They specialize in meats cooked over a wood-fire, but they also have interesting side dishes and baked goods. They have a daily Supper Club meal; Alex loves the fried chicken on Mondays.

Fresa’s Chicken Al carbon
Bouldin Creek Cafe
One of the first things we do when Alex’s parents visit is go to Bouldin Creek Cafe so that his dad can get a Veggie Royale, which is the best veggie burger in town. This restaurant caters to vegetarians and vegans. If you need some green in your life after all of the tacos and BBQ, this is the spot!
Parking is available.
walton’s Fancy and Staple
This is our go-to spot for brunch on the weekends. We love the "Fancy Lunch” which is a half sandwich and a half salad or soup. Usually we add a coffee and a Golden Egg which is like the cinammon-y muffin top. One time we saw Sandra Bullock here - she owns it!
Street parking is available.
